Participants may choose whether to receive SMS text messages during the study enrollment process. By providing a mobile phone number and selecting "Yes" in response to the question, "Do you agree to receive SMS messages regarding study activities and study reminders?", participants consent to receive study-related text messages from the NGHS Study Team. 

Consent to receive text messages is voluntary and is not required to participate in the study. Participants who do not opt in to SMS communications may receive study communications through other approved methods, such as email. 

You may stop receiving text messages at any time by contacting the study team at ngsh-ucsf@ucsf.edu or replying STOP.

After opting out, you will no longer receive text messages from the NGHS Study unless you choose to opt in again.

Opting out of SMS communications will not affect your participation in the study.

The NGHS Study does not collect research data through text message responses. Study data are collected through secure survey platforms linked within study text messages.

Participants should not send personal, medical, or other sensitive information through SMS. 

Message delivery depends on your wireless carrier and network availability. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
