Q: Am I eligible?

You are eligible if: 

•  You are a member of the NGHS cohort

• You are NOT pregnant at the time of recruitment

• You have NOT experienced a pregnancy, miscarriage or abortion within the last 3 months

• You are NOT living abroad, incarcerated or otherwise institutionalised.​

Q: What will I do in this study?

If you participate, you and your child (if applicable) will complete several simple activities from home:

• Sign consent forms online and complete an initial survey about health and lifestyle.

• Receive a study kit by mail with tools for basic health measurements.

• Join a Zoom session with study staff who will guide you through measurements like height, weight, waist measurement, and blood pressure, and help with saliva and small blood sample collection.

• Wear an Oura ring for 10 days to track sleep and activity.

• Complete a few short online questionnaires and cognitive tasks.

• Fill out brief daily check-ins for 10 days and a 3-day food and activity diary.

• Mail back samples and selected study materials using a prepaid return package.​

Q: Does it cost to participate in this study? 

    No.

Q: Will I be paid to participate in this study? 

    Yes, you and your family will receive up to $225 in gift cards for completing all parts of this study.
